Course Layout은 Arnold Palmer에 의해 독창적인 코스로 구상되었다. 이를 구체화하기 위해서는 조경설계 과정에서 많은 시간과 노력이 있었다. 즉, 자연경관이 수려한 덕유산 지역에 조성되는 골프코스로서 특징적인 지형, 양호한 자연수림, 노거수 및 독립수, 자연계류와 습지 등을 최대한 보존하거나 이를 활용한 코스가 조성되도록 하였다.

따라서 세심한 현황조사와 측량이 필수적으로 수반되었으며, 이를 토대로 진행된 실시설계의 결과로 울창한 숲과 자연 속에서 골프의 묘미를 느낄 수 있는 코스가 조성되었다.

국내 초기 골프장 조경설계로, 프로젝트의 진행과정에서 세계적인 명문 골프장의 답사와 해외 전문업체와의 교류 등 선진 기술을 습득하는 계기가 되었다.

또 골프코스의 조경설계에 대한 Model 제작, 첨단장비를 활용한 Simulation, 홍보용 Presentation 제작 등 다양한 시도를 하였다.

This championship golf course (18 holes) is located inside Muju Resort. It is an area of beautiful natural environment with spectacular view and plant life and has special locational features of being located 1,000 meters above sea level.

The course layout was designed by Arnold Palmer, and to realize the unique design, high investment was made to landscape architecture. We tried to create a course that preserves and utilizes distinctive landform, natural forests, big and old trees, single trees, creek and wet land as a golf course in Deogyu-san (mountain) area with beautiful natural scenery.

To do so, extensive and detailed status study and measurements were required. Based on this, we made planning, and a beautiful course was created where players can enjoy the game in thick forest and nature. By working on this project, we obtained an opportunity to visit premium golf courses around the world, communicate with overseas companies and learn advanced technology.

Also, we gained various experience in making model for golf course landscape architecture, simulation using state-of-the-art equipment, and creating PR presentation materials.
